
On July 22, the "Digital & Smart Empowers Construction · Low-Carbon Powers the Future" experience exchange and on-site observation conference was successfully held in Hohhot. It was hosted by the China Construction Industry Association and co-organized by its BIM and AI Application Branch, Green Building and Smart Building Branch, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Construction Industry Association, and other units. More than 200 leading experts from the national construction industry, local housing and urban-rural development authorities, provincial and municipal industry associations, and corporate representatives gathered in the "Green City" to explore the digital and green transformation pathways for the construction industry.
National-Level Project Setting a Benchmark for Smart Construction Sites
The key project featured at this observation event—the Inner Mongolia Hospital Construction Project of Beijing Friendship Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University—is located in Saihan District, Hohhot, with a total floor area of 191,400 square meters. As one of the fifth batch of national regional medical centers, the project is a flagship "major livelihood project" of the Party Committee and Government of the Autonomous Region. Upon completion, it will radiate across Inner Mongolia and the central and western regions, enhancing regional medical resource capacity and fulfilling the livelihood goal of "treating major illnesses within the region".
During the construction phase, the project has integrated cutting-edge technologies including BIM, smart warehousing, digital intelligence platforms, unmanned elevators, 5G remote-controlled tower cranes, construction robots, and intelligent safety control systems, establishing a refined management and control system centered on big data. Among these, the introduction of construction robots has become a key step in the project's transition from "digital management" to "automated operations." Construction robots replace traditional manual labor, achieving simultaneous improvements in construction efficiency and quality precision, providing a replicable practical model for the intelligent construction of similar large-scale public building projects.
Fulltime Robotics Draws Crowds at the Observation Event
Fulltime's putty and latex paint spraying robot is suitable for building scenarios below 6 meters, such as factories, venues, and transportation hubs, covering putty and latex paint application on walls, beams, and columns. The equipment supports multi-purpose use with flexible adaptation to different processes. Its putty spraying efficiency reaches 1,000 to 1,200 m²/day, 10 to 12 times that of manual labor, and it saves approximately 10% of materials overall, effectively replacing the "dangerous, tedious, dirty, and heavy" manual operations in traditional construction.
The safety inspection robot, equipped with laser navigation, path planning, and AI visual recognition technologies, enables 24/7 autonomous inspection, automatically identifying safety hazards such as helmet wearing compliance, smoke and open flames, toxic and hazardous gases, and noise, providing round-the-clock support for construction site safety management.
