From June 4th to 6th, the 2026 Specialized Teacher Capacity-Building Training in Intelligent Construction (Construction Robotics) for Technical Colleges was successfully held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The event was organized by the Training Center of the China Construction Education Association, undertaken by the Technical Education Working Committee of the China Construction Education Association, and co-organized by Zhejiang Construction Technician College and Zhejiang Construction Intelligent Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. Frontline core teachers and program leaders in the field of intelligent construction from various technical and vocational colleges across eight provinces gathered to jointly explore the technological applications and teaching innovations of construction robotics.

Held at the training base of Zhejiang Construction Intelligent Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., this training adhered to the principle of bringing classroom education to the frontline of industry and aligning teaching with real-world industry scenarios. During the theoretical sessions, industry experts delivered in-depth lectures based on real construction site cases, covering topics such as the practical application of construction robots, human-robot collaborative construction plans, and the preparation of safety documentation.
The practical teaching adopted a dual-track training model combining "virtual simulation and real-machine operation." Trainees first conducted programming drills using digital software before entering the real-world workshop to operate various construction robots under the guidance of enterprise engineers. The training site was filled with a strong atmosphere of learning, with participants actively communicating and eagerly asking questions such as, "How long can the robot operate continuously?", "How should the raw material mixing ratio be adjusted?", and "Are there emergency response devices in case of misoperation?" Through these enthusiastic discussions, the trainees further deepened their understanding of various construction robots.
As the provider of practical training equipment for this event, Fantan Robotics supplied a series of core products to support the hands-on teaching sessions. At the training site, under the guidance of enterprise engineers, trainees personally operated Fantan's indoor coating construction robots, concrete floor leveling robots, and safety inspection robots. They experienced the fully automated workflow from putty spraying, scraping, and sanding to latex paint spraying, gaining a more concrete understanding of the operational capabilities of construction robots in actual engineering projects.
Headquartered in Hangzhou, Fantan Robotics is a professional provider of construction robotics products and solutions, with a team that possesses backgrounds in construction, construction informatization, and robotics technology. Its products include indoor coating construction robots, structural and floor construction robots, and auxiliary construction robots. These robots have been successfully deployed in large-scale projects, including the Zhejiang Construction Group Yingwang New Energy Project, the Zhongyifeng Yangtze River Delta International R&D Community, the Shanghai Construction Group Zhangjiang Science Gate Project, the Beijing Construction Group Fangshan Shantytown Renovation Project, the China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Jiuxing City Project, and HDB (Housing & Development Board) projects in Singapore. With a cumulative construction area exceeding 5 million square meters, the company's business spans Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Hungary, and other countries and regions.
During the training, all participants visited an active construction robotics project site for on-site observation and learning, gaining a close-up understanding of the application scenarios, operational workflows, and implementation outcomes of robots on the frontline. This immersive, real-world learning experience proved highly rewarding. Participants unanimously agreed that traditional teaching methods are relatively monotonous and struggle to fully engage students. In contrast, the practical training model utilizing virtual simulation and real-machine operation for construction robots is intuitive and vivid, effectively stimulating students' interest. They stated they would actively adopt the practical teaching models from this training in the future, continuously optimize their curriculum systems, upgrade practical training content, and enhance the teaching quality of intelligent construction programs to cultivate high-quality construction talents that meet the industry's transformation and upgrading needs.
Grounded in the development of the intelligent construction industry and empowering technical education with artificial intelligence, this training represents an important practice in deepening the integration of industry and education, and promoting the high-quality development of technical education. Moving forward, Fantan Robotics will continue to leverage its accumulated expertise in products, technology, and engineering scenarios, actively participate in the development of the intelligent construction talent cultivation system, deepen school-enterprise collaborative education, and ensure that talent supply in the intelligent construction industry resonates in tandem with industry upgrading.
