On September 22, the Second Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Construction Robot Competition was held at the Guangzhou Nansha International Convention and Exhibition Center. The competition was guided by the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guangdong Province and the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and hosted by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Intelligent Construction Industry Development Alliance and the Hong Kong Construction Industry Council. Based on the forefront of intelligent construction industry development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and closely following the intelligent, green, and integrated transformation direction of the construction industry, it brought together industry authorities, research institutions, technology innovation enterprises, experts and scholars, and participating teams from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. Leaders from the Building Market Supervision Department and the Science and Technology and Industrialization Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guangdong Province, the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Hong Kong Construction Industry Council attended the event. Fulltime Robotics was invited to compete, engaging in practical competitions in three events and participating in industry matchmaking exchanges, achievement observation, and new product releases.

Competing in Three Events, Testing Product Capabilities in Practice

The competition featured two major competition sections: practical competition and creative competition, with 59 teams and approximately 200 contestants from more than 40 units participating. The practical competition closely followed real construction site conditions, setting up five major projects: wall spraying, floor tile laying, floor leveling, inspection robot (dog), and drone inspection, focusing on assessing construction robot operation accuracy, operating efficiency, environmental adaptability, and intelligent identification and handling capabilities.

Fulltime Robotics competed in three events. The 3.2-meter model of the putty and latex paint spraying robot participated in the wall spraying competition, demonstrating the full-process automated operation capability of precise spraying under real working conditions. Without pre-built maps, using Fulltime's self-developed "Spatial Brain," it perceived wall geometric data in real time, automatically planned operation paths, and autonomously turned, practically verifying the intelligent capability of "ready to use upon startup." The concrete floor leveling robot participated in the floor leveling competition, completing operations on simulated sand using a high-precision laser leveling control system, with leveling accuracy controlled within 3 millimeters. The safety inspection robot participated in the inspection event, equipped with laser navigation and AI visual recognition technology, completing autonomous inspection and safety hazard identification tasks in a simulated construction site environment. The three events covered three major construction scenarios—walls, floors, and inspection—comprehensively testing Fulltime's products' comprehensive capabilities under real working conditions.

Industry Matchmaking Salon: Discussing Capital Operations and Industry-Finance Synergy

The competition also held intelligent construction industry matchmaking activities, conducting exchange and connection around themes such as product going global and Bay Area synergy, capital operations and industry-finance synergy, talent cultivation and discipline construction, and scenario application and demonstration promotion. In the "Capital Operations and Industry-Finance Integration" themed segment, Li Zike, Founder and CEO of Fulltime Robotics, attended the event and exchanged views with participating representatives on topics such as value judgment of construction technology, funding sources and industry-finance synergy trends, and paths for developmental finance to support construction industry transformation and urban renewal.

In his speech, Li Zike noted that construction robot application conditions are complex, verification cycles are long, and scenario dependence is strong. From technical verification to engineering implementation requires a long accumulation period, and industry-finance synergy requires the deep combination of patient capital and industrial scenarios. At the same time, the entry of construction robots into construction sites is not simply equipment replacement, but a systematic transformation involving construction organization, techniques and methods, and personnel allocation. The root cause of many projects falling short of expectations is that they still use the traditional manual operation organization method. Systematic planning and organization are needed to achieve large-scale application.

Leaders Visit for Observation, Two New Ground Products Released

The competition also held an intelligent construction achievement observation activity, with 23 participating enterprises bringing nearly 70 intelligent construction products, covering categories such as intelligent detection, construction equipment, special operations, and operation and maintenance management. Liao Yuping, Director of the Science and Technology and Industrialization Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development; Qi Xin, First-Level Inspector of the Building Market Supervision Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development; Guo Haoyu, Party Secretary and Director of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guangdong Province; and Luo Guoquan, Director of the Project Strategy and Control Office of the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, visited the observation site and toured the Fulltime Robotics booth to learn about the application of construction robots in actual engineering. On-site introductions were given to visiting guests regarding the products' core technology, construction efficiency, and implementation cases.

In the achievement release segment, Fulltime Robotics officially released two new ground construction products—the concrete floor leveling robot and the concrete floor floating and troweling robot.

The concrete floor leveling robot is designed for large-area concrete floor construction scenarios such as residential buildings, commercial buildings, industrial plants, airports, and subways. It adopts high-precision laser screeding technology and integrates three major functions—vibration and grout lifting, screeding, and surface finishing—into one, completing multiple processes with one machine. The concrete floor floating and troweling robot is designed for grout lifting, compaction, floating, and troweling operations on concrete surfaces. It adopts dual-disc linkage and intelligent sensor control technology, dynamically adjusting disc rotation speed and operating pressure, and completes the full floating and troweling process in an integrated manner. The two products can work together to complete the entire floor construction process from leveling to troweling.

Through this competition, Fulltime Robotics tested its products' operational capabilities under real working conditions in practical competition, shared reflections on the development of the construction robot industry in industry dialogues, and showcased the latest achievements in ground construction products in achievement observation. To date, Fulltime Robotics' cumulative construction area has exceeded 5 million square meters, and its products continue to be applied in bulk projects of leading construction enterprises such as CSCEC, CREC, Zhejiang Construction Investment Group, Shanghai Construction Group, and Beijing Construction Group. Taking this competition as an opportunity, Fulltime Robotics will continue to deepen its commitment to construction robotics technology R&D and scenario implementation, supporting the high-quality development of the construction industry with intelligent construction.
